Free shipping is sent via USPS Media mail and free shipping orders are shipped from our warehouse each Tuesday and Thursday. Free shipping is available only within the continental United States. When will my BarristerBooks.com order ship? Unless otherwise noted on the product pages for the items you ordered, orders placed before 2pm CST on any business day generally ship from our warehouse on the same day (except for Free Shipping orders, which ship each Tuesday and Thursday). Orders placed after 2pm CST on any business day generally will ship on the following business day. Business days do not include weekends or holidays. While most items are available to ship within the next business day, the product pages for the items you ordered indicates "This item ships within 1-2 business days" or indicates a longer ship-out timeframe, you must allow the maximum time for these items to ship. For instance, when placing a UPS NEXT DAY AIR order at 8am on a Tuesday for an item whose product page lists "This item ships within 1-2 business days", you must allow for the possibility that your order will not ship out until Thursday. Shortly after your order ships from our warehouse (within approximately 8-12 hours of shipment) you will be sent a shipping confirmation email to the email address in Your Customer Account which will let you know that your order has shipped. This email will also include a tracking number and a link where you can go to enter your tracking number and track your shipment. Does BarristerBooks.com require a signature for delivery on UPS shipments? No, BarristerBooks.com never requires a signature for delivery on UPS shipments. However, it is UPS policy that the delivery driver has the discretion whether or not to leave a delivery in an area that the driver deems unsafe for the package. In these situations, the driver will leave a notice of the delivery attempt, as well as the timeframe for the next delivery attempt. You can often simply sign the back of the notice and leave it for the driver if you feel you may not be available to sign for the delivery on the next attempt. My tracking number claims that the package was delivered, but I don't have it. What do I do? Unfortunately, if the shipper has confirmed that delivery was made, you must contact the shipper directly to ascertain the details of the delivery. You may contact UPS at 1-800-PICK-UPS and USPS at 1-800-ASK-USPS. In many cases, if you live in an apartment complex and you are not at your shipping address to accept delivery, shippers will usually either leave your package with a neighboring apartment or with your apartment manager's office. When tracking your delivered shipment, if an individual is listed as having signed for your delivery, this name can often be helpful in ascertaining where your package was delivered. My tracking number doesn't seem to be working. What's wrong? First, sometimes we ship so fast, even our shippers can't keep up! If you just received your shipping confirmation email and your tracking number doesn't seem to be working, the tracking number may not yet be active in the shipper's system. Please try your tracking number again in a few more hours when it should be activated. Second, make sure that you are checking your tracking number with the correct shipper (i.e. don't try to track a UPS tracking number at the USPS web site). Shipping surcharges are charged in two instances where shipping incurs added costs: AK, HI, GU, PR & VI Shipments: UPS 2nd Business Day Air and UPS Next Business Day Air shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands incur a shipping surcharge of $10 and $12, respectively. This shipping surcharge is automatically calculated and included in the final order total at checkout. Heavy Item Shipments: UPS 2nd Business Day Air and UPS Next Business Day Air shipments containing a single item weighing over 10 lbs. incur a shipping surcharge of $10 and $12, respectively. This shipping surcharge is automatically calculated and included in the final order total at checkout. Items qualifying for the heavy item surcharge are indicated as such on the respective product page. What about shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands? UPS 2nd Business Day Air and UPS Next Business Day Air shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands incur a shipping surcharge of $10 and $12, respectively. This shipping surcharge is automatically calculated and included in the final order total at checkout. USPS Media Mail shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands may take an extra 5-10 business days for delivery. How do I place an order that will ship outside of the United States (International Orders)? Only orders being shipped within the United States can be placed online at BarristerBooks.com. Because all international shipping rates are weight-based, you must tell us which specific items you would like to order, so that we can provide you with an accurate quote. To receive an international order shipping quote, you request one from BarristerBooks.com via our International Shipping Quote Request form. Once we receive this form and calculate your international order shipping quote, we will email this shipping quote information back to you, along with ordering instructions. |
