What are ConnectedCasebooks and what is CasebookConnect.com?

The ConnectedCasebook platform is a groundbreaking program from Wolters Kluwer Legal Education that meets the needs of students and professors alike. Choose either the New Hardcover, Looseleaf, or ConnectedCasebook Rental versions. All versions include access to CasebookConnect.com, a cloud-based platform accessible on computers and tables with three main features:

  • a fully functional, cloud-based eBook version of the casebook,
  • a study center complete with curated excerpts and practice questions from leading study aids such as Examples & Explanations and Glannon Guides, and
  • a tool to help students create their own outline



What comes with my ConnectedCasebook order?

When you select a ConnectedCasebook title, you will get a physical copy of the book with either the New Hardcover, Looseleaf, or ConnectedCasebook Rental versions. If you purchase the Digital version, you will not receive a physical book, only the ConnectedCasebook access code that will give you access to the ConnectedCasebook suite of offerings, including the digital version of the book. If you purchase the new hardcover or looseleaf it is yours to keep. If you choose the CasebookConnect Rental you rent it for the duration of your course term. For all versions, you will receive an access code for the CasebookConnect website. Better yet, you get access instantly! Your access code will be included in the order confirmation email you get immediately after placing your order (look for it at the bottom).



What if I have a problem with my ConnectedCasebook order or the CasebookConnect.com website?

Where do I find my access code for CasebookConnect.com?

When you rent or purchase a ConnectedCasebook title from BarristerBooks.com, you will receive your Access Code to the CasebookConnect.com website immediately in three different ways:

    • Your Access Code is displayed on the Order Confirmation screen of your transaction.
    • Your Access Code is included in your Order Confirmation email of your transaction.
    • If you have a BarristerBooks.com account your Access Code can always be found by logging into your Customer Account at https://www.BarristerBooks.com/customer/account/login/ using the email address and password that you used to set up your BarristerBooks account during checkout. Once you log into your Customer Account, click My Downloadable Products from the left-side menu, and you will see your Access Code available to you under the My Access Code section. Please note: if you checked out of your ConnectedCasebook purchase as a Guest during checkout, you will not have an account.



I rented my ConnectedCasebook. How do I return the physical Connected Casebook rental book when my rental period is over?

You can return your rental by logging into your Customer Account, under the My Orders/Rentals; section, find your rental order, and selecting the link labeled Click here for Pre-Paid Rental Return Label For This Order. This will allow you to print a pre-paid shipping label for the return of your rental.



Can I buy access to CasebookConnect.com (including access to eBook) without purchasing or renting the physical book?

Yes. On the product page, a tab for "Digital" will appear on the titles that currently offer the option to purchase a Connected Casebook Access Code only. This code will be delivered to you immediately in your order confirmation email.

 

How do I register on CasebookConnect.com?

To start using CasebookConnect.com, you must register with an access code.

      • Locate your access code after purchasing a Connected Casebook from BarristerBooks.com. Your access code can be found in 3 locations:The order confirmation screen, your order confirmation email and/or My Downloadable Products menu in your BarristerBooks.com account (if you created or checked out under a BarristerBooks.com Account)
      • Go to www.casebookconnect.com
      • Enter you access code in the box at the top right of the screen and click REGISTER;



Can I use CasebookConnect.com without being connected to the Internet? What about the eBook?

Yes! Here’s how it works:

  1. With an internet connection, login to Casebook Connect and open your Connected eBook.
  2. In the blue toolbar, click on the new “Offline” dropdown menu and select the option to “Save for Offline Use.”
  3. Select your desired chapters to be available offline and click “Generate Offline Link.”
  4. Once the link is generated, open it in a new tab and save it as a favorite or bookmark in your browser.
  5. At this point, you can remove your internet connection (go offline), open your browser, and click on the link from your favorites. You’ll be able to access the eBook content you selected, as well as your existing highlights and annotations.

What is the difference between the New Hardcover, Digital, Looseleaf, and ConnectedCasebook Rental versions?

 

New Hardcover

  • Brand new hardcover book that you keep.
  • Includes lifetime access to the ConnectedCasebook suite: digital eBook version (Internet connection required), outlining tool, and study center at casebookconnect.com.

 

Digital

  • Purchasing the Digital version of the book gets you immediate delivery of the ConnectedCasebook Access Code, which gives you lifetime access to the ConnectedCasebook suite: the digital eBook version (Internet connection required), outlining tool, and study center.
  • No physical book will be sent to you.

 

Looseleaf

  • Looseleaf version of the hardcover book, same pagination.
  • Less expensive than the hardcover version.
  • 3 hole punched, unbound pages (3-ring binder not included).
  • Perfect for students who only want to carry a few pages or just one chapter to class.
  • The looseleaf casebook includes lifetime access to the ConnectedCasebook suite: digital eBook version, outlining tool, and study center at casebookconnect.com.  Better yet, you get access instantly! ConnectedCasebook Rental

  • Brand new hardcover book is shipped out to you.
  • This is a RENTAL. Must be returned to us at the end of your rental period. Rental includes a prepaid return shipping label for the return.
  • You can write/highlight/dog ear this book AS MUCH as you like.
  • Less expensive than the hardcover and looseleaf versions.
